At A New Beginning Family Child Care, great care begins with a caring, dependable, and supported team. We are a small, family-centered program where team members can build meaningful relationships, bring creativity into each day, and make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families.
As our program grows, different employment opportunities may become available based on enrollment and staffing needs. The positions below represent roles our program may offer; they are not necessarily current job openings.
Positions We May Offer
Teacher Ages 18+
Teachers provide direct care and supervision while creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. They lead play-based learning experiences, support daily routines, encourage children’s development, and build positive relationships with families.
Teacher positions may be full-time or part-time. Qualified Teachers may be counted in the staff-to-child ratio.
Assistant Teacher | Ages 16+
Assistant Teachers work alongside the Lead Provider to support supervision, learning activities, meals, transitions, outdoor play, classroom organization, and daily routines.
This position offers young adults and individuals entering early childhood education an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive guidance, and grow professionally. Assistant Teachers may be counted in the staff-to-child ratio when all applicable training and supervision requirements are met.
Program Aide | Ages 16+
Program Aides help keep the child care environment clean, organized, welcoming, and prepared for each day. They may assist with activity preparation, meals, cleaning and sanitizing, classroom materials, laundry, supplies, and other daily program needs.
Program Aides work under the direction of a qualified provider and are not left independently responsible for a group of children.
Float or Substitute Teacher
Ages 18+
Float and Substitute Teachers provide dependable coverage during staff absences, breaks, vacations, training, and other program needs. They follow established schedules and routines while helping children experience consistency, safety, and familiar care.
These opportunities may be part-time, temporary, scheduled in advance, or on-call.
Child Care Driver
Ages 21+
Child Care Drivers provide safe, dependable, and timely transportation between approved locations, including homes, schools, the child care program, field trips, and community activities.
Drivers must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, maintain an acceptable driving record, and have more than two years of licensed driving experience. They must also follow all child-restraint, attendance, loading, unloading, vehicle-safety, and communication procedures.
